the_crash_pad**SPOILERS**
Thinking about Avengers: the Initiative #10 and more specifically the Killed in Action story arc.
I've been contemplating everything that has gone before, the exact words used and I've come to some speculative conclusions...
1) the covers are generally deceptive and what is depicted does not always come to pass in that way, I'm thinking of the cover to #11 when I say this.
2) in the preview, Justice contacts the ex-New Warriors three days before KIA goes on his spree... I'll come back to this.
3) the solicit for #9 said The Initiative's biggest secret hasn't come back to haunt them, it's come back to KILL THEM! Blood will run, heads will roll, and this time "dead" means DEAD! Say goodbye to at LEAST one regular cast member as KILLED IN ACTION starts racking up its body count. You know, maybe this WASN'T such a good time for TASKMASTER, ANT-MAN, and the new recruits to sign up…. IMO, I take this to mean, all of MVP's clones will die by the end of the arc.
4) going back to 2) what if the ex-New Warriors are the ones to save the day? What if they bring back the missing MVP clone and he dies heroically, in such a way that the real MVP can be finally put to rest by his family? Thinking positively for a change (I know Marvel doesn't deserve our positive thoughts, bah humbug). I begin to wonder if the NWers will succeed where others fail and end up as a state team?
Anyway, I can dream... it keeps me from stressing over other possible outcomes.
