So Cloak and Dagger are X-Men now? Wow. I thought their back story was that they were Mutates not Mutants and they got their powers from experimental drugs.

*edit* Wait, all knowing wiki said they were mutants, I stand corrected.

Their back story was changed. Originally they were mutates who got their powers from drugs and somewhere along the way they were changed into mutants. ~_~

So my original instinct was right? They were created by drugs. Will wonders never cease, my brain still functions on some level. :D

Yeah, originally it was drugs. They were both runaways and got roped into the drug scene. They got addicted to some drug that gave them powers and lo and behold! Cloak and Dagger! =D

And then they got turned into mutants. ~__~

Yeah, apparently the drugs activated their latent X-genes.

The winged person is probably Mimic, he's permanently absorbed the powers of Angel (which explains the wings), Beast , Iceman, Cyclops (which explains the somewhat glowy eyes) and Jean Grey.

I think their origin has stayed the same, but somewhere along the line they were re-classified as mutants. Their old series was called The Mutant Misadventures of Cloak & Dagger.
